If you were watching the UEFA league game between Barcelona and Portugal’s Benfica last night, you would probably know where this would be leading.
Carles Puyol’s 78th minute injury was horrifying. The awkward landing on his elbow and the subsequent dislocation had been added to the long list of injuries that the star defender has faced.
Having recently returned from a knee injury that kept him out for a while, this latest damage will be of a concern to Vilanova going into Sunday’s El Clasico.
Although this is to keep him away for 8 weeks or so, Puyol was in good spirits in the hospital. The below is the translation of what he had tweeted a few hours ago:
